Independently owned, Page 44
was founded in 1998 by industry veterans Steve Apour , Denis Fung , and Scott Rohde.
In 2003, former Crystal Dynamics/Eidos
executive Tom Shoenhair joined Page 44
as Director of Production, filling the shoes of Scott Rohde who left to
become Senior Director of Sony Computer Entertainment America's San Diego
Studio. Now, with over 54 years of collective experience spanning over 38
software titles, senior management has assembled a consistently
productive and seasoned development team, delivering AAA-quality titles.
Collectively, Page 44's
software engineers have accrued expertise in the development and
application of rendering pipelines, physics toolsets, and a multitude of
other production-enhancing utilities. Page 44 artists deliver world-class
content - ranging from environmental and character modeling to
state-of-the-art animation. Our Game Design staff boasts more than 10
years of success in designing sports and action titles, engaging
interfaces, innovative game mechanics, and creating inventive gameplay.

Technology
Page 44 developed a mature, cross-platform game engine to
build the Gretzky NHL®
franchise, in addition to its own (second generation) high performance
PSP renderer, complete authoring pipeline, AI tool technologies, and
network libraries. Having used Renderware and Havok extensively, Page 44 is equally adept at the
incorporation of third-party/outside/extramural game engines and
technologies.
